Welcome to San Jose State Rugby Football Club’s website.  San Jose State Spartans play in the Pacific Western Rugby Conference.  Pacific Western Rugby Conference plays Division 1 AA rugby. The Spartans play against Fresno State University, Chico State University, University of Nevada, Reno, University of California Santa Cruz, San Francisco State University and Santa Rosa Junior College.  The winner of the Pacific Western Rugby Conference gets an automatic bid to the USA Rugby National Championships.  This championship is determined through a 16 team tournament.

Spartan Rugby welcomes all kind of athletes and students to participate.   We are always looking for new players and volunteers.  Spartan Rugby is based on teamwork, hard work and fun.  Spartans are social but serious about our rugby and we are looking forward to constant victory on the pitch.  Spartans look after each other both on and off the pitch.  So come join us and be a part of a winning tradition.

Spartans practice Tuesday and Thursday at 7pm.  We practice behind Spartan Stadium.  Players should arrive at least 15 minutes before practice.  Practice starts on time.  We might practice on Saturdays as well.
